Singing in Latin while in Roma

We are doing the Christmas Novena (the Lord our king is drawing near) in LATIN.

oooo! very cool. These have been a favorite Advent feature for me since I was 14 years old and first learned the melodies as a high-school freshman in Watsonville.

All three of the professors' communities join together for this celebration, with Moran Wirth leading the assembly as the cantor… Of course, Morand has the Roman pronunciation with a French inflection. Very cool!

O Adonai,
et dux domus Israël,
qui Moyse in igne flammae rubi apparuisti,
et ei in Sina legem dedisti:
veni ad redimendum nos in brachio extento.

O Mighty Lord,
and leader of the house of Israel,
who appeared to Moses in the burning bush,
and gave the Law on Sinai,
come to deliver us with your mighty arm extended.
